The 10th National College Student Biomedical Engineering Innovation Design Competition
From July 19 to July 22, 2025, the 10th National College Student Biomedical Engineering Innovation Design Competition was held at Xi’an Jiaotong University. The competition was hosted by the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, organized by Xi’an Jiaotong University (School of Life Science and Technology), and co-organized by the Shaanxi Society of Biomedical Engineering. With the theme of “Integration of Medicine and Engineering, Empowered by Digital Intelligence,” the competition focused closely on cutting-edge topics, deeply targeting clinical application practices, aiming to guide students to apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems, and cultivate innovative thinking and teamwork skills.
This competition attracted more than 280 institutions, over 4,200 teams, and more than 15,000 students to register, all hitting record highs. After a double-blind review process in the preliminary round, 1,254 projects advanced to the finals, where 145 first prizes, 415 second prizes, and 694 third prizes were awarded.
The project “Resonant Echo: A Speech Conversion System for Dysarthria Based on an ASR-LLM-TTS Three-Stage Cascade Architecture” by HAI Lab of Southeast University won the second prize.
